AC Shadows Introduces Unexpected AoT Crossover for Holiday Season

In a unexpected collaboration that defies conventional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Revealed

According to the formal announcement, "A strange encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of banned rituals and fearsome transformations echo through the obscurity." The plot features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden group.

The questline focuses on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Changes

The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to numerous objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
